Stuff and Other Stuff

I get cankles when I fly. True story. And it's really obnoxious, because I have pretty nice ankles normally.

ANYWAY, the thing is, I'm in Florida, right now with my fucking amazing two-year-old niece who basically runs around all day saying things like, "AUNT JULIE READ ANGELINA BALLERINA AUNT JULIE GO OUTSIDE WITH TRIKE AUNT JULIE DRINK JUICE AUNT JULIE PLAY WITH DOLLY AUNT JULIE READ TOM CAT AUNT JULIE READ FLOPSY BUNNIES AUNT JULIE READ CAT IN HAT..." You get the picture.

Which, in short, is why I wanted to update before I came out here on the fourth. SIGH. But that didn't happen. However, the joy of my niece being a two-year-old is that she goes to bed at eight-o'clock, so hopefully I'll get some writing in, and also during her nap times, while her mama (my sister) is working. So, I'm babysitting tonight and I finally got hooked up to the wifi and I replaced my broken laptop cable (which prevented me for logging on yesterday, due to the fear that I would use all the juice) and my ankles are really fucking swollen, but that's not really related.

So long and short of it, I love you guys, and I'm sorry no Chapter 29 yet. But check it out--ya'll thought the last excerpt was super shipper-ish....? I would venture to say that there's an internal monologue coming up in Chapter 29 that is roughly twice as shipperish.... in my opinion, at least.

Love and all that,
Jules

  1. I want to be a bigger person and say "Jules, take your time, update when you feel good and ready. Enjoy your time in Florida with your family! No pressure."

    BUT I CAN'T JULES! I GODDAMN CAN'T!

    ....okay...outburst over.

I think I'm proof of the "cult following" thing

  4. NOT CANKLES! That's horrible! But the good thing is that I am back! After a crazy new years and all the personal drama that followed it (ugh) I have ventured back to your blog, and I'm loving all the shipper quotes. They makes my heart flutter :)
Hope you're having a great time in Florida!

  5. Again, people will want to beat me up when I say this but, take your time with that update.

Enjoy Florida, your family, and babysitting your niece (who sounds adorable). I am my family's babysitter and I know how much looking after a young kid can drain you, particularly when they're two. Terrible Twos, man.

And regarding cankles, I hear that switching from table salt to sea salt helps a lot. Who knows though.

  6. eh, they usually go away after 24 hours. Lol, its 75 degrees here, which is far too warm for January. But, apparently, last month it got down into the 40s, which is more reasonable =)

  7. 75 degrees? Jealous. It snowed today for me, which I hate.

Anyway, I hope your cankles go away soon and update when you can. Also, the "twice as shipperish" comment made my little shipper heart sing.

    Have fun in Florida!

  13. I live in Hawaii, which means it's 80˚C right now. It has good and bad sides, I guess ...

  14. You mean fahrenheit... right? :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. yeah it's 80˚C at my house too...in my oven lol. Omg imagine if it was 80˚C!!

  17. It's summer in Australia. The average temperature is 34˚C which is around 90ish ˚F (I think), so I envy your Winter Chill. So 75˚F sounds lovely. ^^

  18. Yeah I'm in Australia as well. I agree with Anon 9:38. It is way too bloody hot down here.

Can't wait till you update Jules but no pressure :).
Hopefully it is soon though because I think I am going a little crazy continuously refreshing your blog.

  19. Internal monologue sounds good (being shipperish here), and your niece sounds adorable. Spend some time with her and your sister and don't worry about an update, we'll live. Put your family first, they're important. :)

  20. Aussies! How are you enjoying the Ashes? :)

Agree with Bree, take your time Jules, no-one wants to pressure you. I mean, yes, we would like the chapter, y'know, last week, BUT we don't mind waiting, and we definitely don't want to rush you :)

And yay for shipperish inner monologue! I hope it's from Lily... we've seen a lot from James so it would make a nice change.

  21. ..wow, it's -10Celsius here and snowing, with ice covering absolutely every surface.
And you're talking about AUSTRALIA?!? ;-))
I am jealous, to say the least!

  22. Aw she sounds cute, that's the best age, isn't it? Never a boring moment...

Hope you update soon! I have been having serious LaT cravings, but of course, I'm aware that genius can't be rushed, so I am willing to wait... although, again, don't mean to pressure you, but do you have an idea when the chapter will be done?

And lol @ Nia - way to rub it in. But it's not definite yet, Australia might be able to get a draw in...

  23. @CharlieSchulz I understand your pain. It's -15 degrees celsius in France where I live. So that pretty much forces me to stay indoors ALL THE TIME unless I want my feet to stay frozen forever.
So Jules if you could update to make my life less miserable...(blackmail ? who's doing blackmail ? )
I'm new in this blog but I know LAT since a month now. No need to say it's the best fanfic ever. I was already in love with Sirius(I still refuse to admit he died) but you made me fall in love also with James who is way too adorable for my fragile little heart(ok it might also be because in my head he's played by Gaspard Ulliel or Steven Strait but still..)It's been a long time since I look for a respectable Marauder Era DH compatible fanfiction and no one but you could have done it better. So I can never thank you enough for bringing back to life my favourite characters with such talent :)
Also (Carlotta/James haters don't kill me for that please I have a family ;) ) I like the idea of James & Carlotta together. Even if I love Lily&James as a couple, James was popular and couldn't have always stayed loyal to Lily. This is not Twilight (even if I love Edward Cullen I prefer James he's much more realistic)
But I'm still waiting impatiently for the chapter named "Carlotta delenda est"(I've also studied Latin. Glad to hear I'm not the only masochistic girl in the world) that will make some really good action.
And don't ruin your time with your family for us we'll all grown-up (at least I try it's difficult with the effects your story are doing on me) and we can wait patienly. (Did that sound honest ? I've done my best)
Your niece sounds adorable. Even if she ruins any chance we could have to an update soon I kind of like her. :)
Wow..longest review ever ! Oh and I'm definitely a member of the cult ! Sounds great !
Keep up the good work !
Al (and sorry for the grammar mistakes i've done my best... :s)

P.S : One of the main reasons I love LAT is because of the way you write Sirius&James friendship. Continue to offer us delightful scenes featuring them and I'll be eternally happy :D
P.S2 : You, reviewers, are absolutely hilarious. You make my day each time ;-)
    P.S3: No wait...that's all x)

  24. Hahaha @ Nia. I'll admit it, yes we are playing absolutely horrible in the Ashes.
Yeah the weather is actually really nice today so I am going to spend it at the beach.
And I don't mean to rub it in @CharlieSchulz. I hope it gets better for you. Most of my family are in Paris at the moment and they are saying how bad it is. They chose the right time for a holiday.

Yay for more shippery inner monologues! :D

  25. PS: just noticed that Molly Weasley plays the dance teacher in Billy Elliot.
    BLEW MY MIND :-))

@Al&Emma: Paris, really? Hmph. This year's just really been effing weird for weather, eh?

  26. It's -10 Fahrenheit here. That's like, around -23 Celsius? I live in the coldest place, just thought I'd put it out there.

I can't wait for all the shipper-y-ness. I feel like there's more of it each chapter. (Also, I can't wait for summer, so I'm super jealous of you Aussies.)

  27. @charlieschulz and Anon 7:27
Trust me you wouldn't be jealous if you saw my super weird sunburn. And I mean super weird. I applied about ten layers every 30 minutes and on my left side the whole side is burnt in weird patches. Plus a weird line across my back. =|
And yes I think the whole word has pretty messed up weather at the moment!
