Inside, James noticed he had been holding Lily’s hand the entire time, and he let go quickly.
“What? No awkward comment?” teased Lily, as the lift doors closed and they began to move upward.
“Your fingernails are purple,” James remarked.
“It’s nail varnish.”
“And you said my fedora was ridiculous.”
“Git.”
“Prig.”
