    Lily Allen as Mary?!! No, Jules, just... no! I hate Lily Allen, she's, urgh, icky. And I'm kinda stunned that you're using her as Mary 'cos I don't think Lily Allen is even remotely pretty, and she just, urgh.

    I actually had more of Cheryl Cole in my head than Lily Allen for Mary, I don't know why. Actually, maybe I do; it's cos I LOVE Cheryl Cole, and she's got that whole cheeky personality going same as Mary. And Mary isn't a bitch (like Lily Allen). (And before anyone asks it, yes, my love for Cheryl Cole is my reason for hating Lily Allen... but regardless I don't think Lily Allen pretty at all.)

    As for Carlotta, I really like this Odette Yustman for her. Definitely fits. But who's Marion? The only one I can think of is Marion Cotillard, but I can't really imagine her as Carlotta...

    Jules, who do you think of as Lily? I was here a few days ago (I only discovered your blog last week or so), and people had pictures of someone (can't remember her name), I think it was Elena-something. Is that your Lily too? I can totally imagine her as it.

    Marlene, Donna and Carlotta are almost dead perfect to the way I had them in my head. Mary not so much, though I do think Lily Allen's pretty, just not the way I imagine Mary. I especially like Katee with Pixie hair. :)

    Lol, I'll stand by Lily Allen; 'It's Not Me, It's You' was a brilliant album, and I think Lily can be quite adorable looking. THAT being said, she's an unabashed bitch, so I can offer alternatives =P. This requires a new post, though. =)

    The pictures are almost perfect matches for the way I see them in my head, except for Mary. Not that I don't think Lily Allen's pretty, she is, just not the way I see Mary exactly. Good otherwise though, and I love Katee's cropped hair :)

    I agree with you, Jules. That was a good album - atleast the songs I heard from it. She is a talented singer and she writes these ridiculously catchy songs that I really want to hate, but I can't help but want to sing along to them. But, yeah, she is a bitch, and really, really irritating. So... yeah, I was actually really shocked (and kinda offended) to see her as Mary. ESPECIALLY considering the Mary in my head was Cheryl Cole.

    And... nyah, I dont think she's pretty. I can't help but think of the chubby and incredibly un-glamourous girl when she made her debut with 'Smile'. Even now that she's lost the weight - she looks nicer, but surely not capable of attracting so much attention? I would most definitely like an alternative Mary (please say Cheryl Cole!).

    And what about Lily? I worked my way back through the blog, and the pics that I mentioned earlier are of this Elena Satine. Is that your Lily also?

    The other pics I really like. Especially Carlotta.

    And I dunno... I thought Lily Allen was a cute Mary. Especially since Lily Allen is cute (and not drop dead gorgeous). Isn't that how Mary is (or at least how she sees herself, hence all the makeup)? IDK, I like her.

    @Bree-- the boys are impossible!!!! Lol, I'll do my best, but no guarantees. And I agree about Lily Allen--she's very real looking to me, whereas with Lucy Hale is just SO gorgeous (lol, not that Zoe Saldana isn't, but oh well. Carlotta's supposed to be perfect, so Odette Yustman is forgivable). Still, I find LH a suitable replacement, if one cannot stand to think of Lily Allen as Mary.

    Thank you! Yes, I most definitely prefer Lucy Hale to Lily Allen. Much, MUCH better. Fits rather well with my sort-of image of Mary.

    And, y'know, I kinda agree about Elena Satine - while she is absolutely beautiful, she is maybe too sophisticated-looking for Lily. Maybe. But she's still my Lily. I can still totally imagine her as Lily. And definitely the sort to get a lot of male attention.

    And I LOVE Karen Gillan - she is absolutely brilliant. She's got the cute-as-a-button and fiery thing going, which Elena Satine does not. But, Idk, she's just not fitting into my idea of Lily ever since I first saw that pic of Elena Satine. But I still love her though.

    I've never heard of Cristiana Capotundi before, and... nyah, Idk, I think I prefer Elena Satine or Karen Gillan.

    bree: But Lucy Hale IS cute and not drop-dead gorgeous. (Although I don't actually remember her as being described as that. When does that happen?) Whereas Lily Allen... no.

    Idk. I loved Girls Aloud when they were still together (I was rather young then (and, yes, I feel the need to make excuses)) and I've never really gotten over my love for them - especially Cheryl who was always my favourite. And, no, Cheryl' songs are just... sucky. I don't know how seeing as she's got so many wonderful people writing for her, but it just doesn't work.

    But I still love Cheryl. She's awesome.

    I've actually got someone in my head for Lathe. But I cna't remember his name so I can't show you... nvb knfd.

    Oooh this is so interesting! I love Donna and Carlotta! Perfect.

    Lily Allen - not so much. Like anonymous above, I am not a fan. I *suppose* you might be able to describe her as pretty, but not enough to warrant dozens of boys to fancy her. And, honestly, I despise Lily Allen as a person, whereas Mary is a very endearing, fun and likeable character, so the two just can't go together.

    I much prefer Lucy Hale as Mary. While she is gorgeous, I can imagine her still being able to see her imperfections - most girls do.

    As for Lily... Karen has always been my Ginny. Bonnie Wright, although pretty enough, doesn't have the acting ability to pull off her small role sufficiently, and she doesn't make a particularly endearing Ginny. Karen would have been perfect. So I have never seen Karen as Lily because she is just too Ginny.

    As for Elena Satine, she is the closest thing I have come across to my Lily. Not *completely* there, but close. And as for Cristiana Capotondi... I don't really see it.

    There really aren't enough famous redheads out there! I wish there were more.

    @Jules and Bree: Andrew Garfield for Remus? that is perfect. There is NO such thing as "too **SWOON**" when it comes to Remus. lol.

    As for the "too hot for James" thing, I do think James is hot. Way hot. BUT, Kevin Flamme is just too... structured and perfect looking. I picture james as way more ruffled, in a good way. The closest i've found for james is definitely Gaspard Ulliel. i mean come on:

    I recently saw a BBC series called Desperate Romantics and one of the actors just screamed Sirius to me... His name's Aiden Turner (but watch out because there seems to be two famous people with that name), for example this picture...

    Bree, I think Ben Barnes in the first two pictures is perfect for Sirius. Which is weird, because I've seen quite a few Ben Barnes movies, and I had never thought "Sirius!" when I saw him. It's not that he looks perfectly like him, but in those two pictures, he just has the right spirit, I guess. If that's the right word.

    And I love Andrew Garfield as Remus. And Arthur Darvill for Reg! Yes!

    Kevin Flamme, I think, is just too pretty boyish to be James. Gaspard Ulliel does look awesome (especially in those glasses), but is, again, too much like a model.

    This is one of my favorite pass times I must say. Reading MWPP era fanfictions and using celebrities to guess what they might look like.

    So as opinionated as I am I'm gonna do it too!

    I really like Ben Barnes for Sirius, that's great I never even thought of that! But it works! And Andrew Garfield is absolutely perfect I wouldn't think that works either.

    I like Bree's James Potter but I am absolutely in love with James Potter and Gaspard Ulliel that I just want them to be the same person. Especially during Gaspard's younger days. And to me James is the hottest one. I have unrealistic expectations for James whenever I read fanfictions.

    As for the girls I pictured Donna to be more muscular and taller like Gabriel Union but a little less glamorous.

    I don't know why everyone is hating on Lily Allen for Mary, I love it! Lucy Hale is also a good choice, but I only think that because she looks younger than Lily Allen.

    Also I picture Lathe to look like Til Schweiger, or Stiglitz from Inglourious Basterds. Nummy.

    As for Lily, I can never find a Lily that I like. All these red-heads I feel are too pretty and too model-y looking or not pretty enough, or not young enough looking and I think Karen Gillan is as close as I am going to get to find the Lily that I envision.

    Also Carlotta is great! I myself picture Camilla Belle, but Odette Yustman is way better than Camilla Belle!

    Also if anyone has seen Skins from E4 in Britian, I pictured Shelley to look like Pandora. http://www.radiotimes.com/content/features/galleries/skins/12/mainImage.jpg for those who don't know what she looks like.

    I know I know she looks really young compared to all my other predictions but still I pictured her to look like that.

    Ah, Pandora as Shelley? Quite interesting. But I think Pandora is actually quite pretty - in a rather quiet, simple way, if that makes any sense. So I personally don't think she matches Shelley looks-wise - but personality-wise, yes; the way she is Effy's plainer, awkward and insecure friend.

    Funny you should bring up Skins, because I imagined Mary as Effy. Very pretty, but not stunningly, breath-takingly so, and her prettiness was quite muted without make-up. But problem with Effy is she doesn't look fun and happy enough (I swear we never saw her as much as smile!) for Mary.

    The redhead in that link up there (http://www.zedge.net/wallpapers/6816337/kaya-scodelario-wallpaper/) is the lovely Dakota Blue Richards, who I, personally, don't see as Lily, but I love her all the same! She was Frankie in Skins UK - in the fifth and sixth series. I just really can't see her as Lily because I think she's quite...sombre-looking? Honestly, I'm a Karen Gillan-as-Lily girl all the way. Firstly because I adore Lily, secondly because, as Jules said up there, Karen Gillan just looks so fun. She's gorgeous but she's not overly glam, and I think watching her as Amy Pond in Doctor Who brought her to life as Lily all the more for me because she's so sparky and lovable and sassy onscreen.

    I love Lily Allen, but I'm leaning towards Lucy Hale as Mary because she's such a cutie-pie.
