Middle name. "Pettigrew" is used earlier in the sentence, so I used first and middle name so that his whole name appeared. Hopefully you see this, 'cos you left an anonymous review so I couldn't respond directly... but I did want to respond, lest you think I'm an idiot =)
Is James telling Lily in Chapter 29, then?
Maybe.
"Is this a joke?" --Dash
Yes. Er.... maybe. Idk. What?
When will you update?
And, the award for best moniker of all time goes to: "lifeandtimesinducedorgasms."
LOLZ.
And a tiny excerpt to spread the love:
“Don’t worry about it. I’ll interrogate you in German; it'll be grand.”
Love,
Jules
YAYYY, update before January 4th! I can't wait. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd Jules, I have a question as well. :P Did you ever think about writing a James/Lily fic about their lifes after Hogwarts? I think this fandom lacks those type of fics, most J/L fics I've read are about their Hogwarts years. Not that I'm complaining, because I don't think I'll ever get tired of those.. But yea. There's so much stuff that happened after Hogwarts, like the 3 times they faced Voldemort, the wedding, Harry's birth, etc.. Sometimes I REALLY want to read about them after Hogwarts and I can't find anything, it's frustrating. I find either very AU stories, or just oneshots.
Sorry for the rant, lol.
And happy new year, everybody! xx
WTF @ "is this a joke"?
ReplyDeleteMore like WTF at is 'Peter Phillip' a typo. How would you accidently get that?!
ReplyDeleteYou know, that's actually a very deep question. "Is this a joke?" asks whether or not our very existence is a fabrication or an illusion, if we are only seeing what we wish to see and the true joke is being played on us. It's a tortured, torturous world and we are all too caught up in the deception of a joke to see it.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, sometimes I talk out of my ass in the face of a particularly stupid question.
And I'm happy about the soon update. Yay. I don't think most people realize it but it's frigging hard to write so much in a really short time. Double kudos to you for doing it and for always informing us. Er, well, always is stretching it. But you do your best, right?
RIGHT?!?
^ WIN.
ReplyDelete"I could have sex with this story. Again and again and again."
ReplyDeleteI laughed so hard when I read that, my stomach still hurts. LOL! And what a name! :)
And lol @ Dash; what an odd, confusing question. And your reply made me laugh as well.
So yeah. I'm rereading my favourite bits of LaT while waiting for the next chapter, and I feel really bad whenever Shelley comes along, poor thing. I really hope she bitch-slaps Carlotta when she finds out (I know it's, like, my dozenth time saying that, but that just shows how much I really, really want that to happen).
And, regarding the above spoiler, I think that you want us to think that the interrogator is Falstaff, but I don't think it is. But don't tell me if I'm right or wrong! I want to be surprised :)
~ Nia
Oh and is Phillip actually Peter's middle name?
ReplyDelete~Nia
Hey, was just re-reading Lily's dream in 'Land of Dreams'(the second one), and was it supposed to be really random and weird and dreamy with all the 'he's dead'? Was she thinking of her dad or someone else?
ReplyDeleteAnd was just thinking (really randomly) that the guy with 'dangerous job' James's father..? Whilst he had moved out..
Underbabe
Ugh. Just deleted my responses. Here I go again.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 12:56--I have thought about it. There are some post-Hogwarts story lines for Lily/James/Marauders/MyOCs (Donna!) that I would LOVE to develop, but can't be a part of TLAT itself. However, I'm not gonna say the S-word because that's just jumping the gun, and also I'm afraid someone will hold me to it as a contractual obligation.
@Anonymous 1:12--lolz.
@Nia--I don't think canon gives us Peter's middle name, so I use "Phillip" for a variety of reasons. Also, I like names with three of the same initials.
@Todd- I love you.
@Underbabe-- regarding Lily's dream: it IS all weird and dreamy, and as time progresses, what it all means will become more evident (including Reginald's presence). I wouldn't say its about her dad, though. I mean, it's about a specific person, and later on, it will be very clear who. Regarding the "dangerous job:" that is actually a REALLY clever theory (I'm jealous, lol) but it's not quite right. More on that later, though. ;-)

ReplyDelete^ Aww, I understand! And I promise I won't. :) But I'm happy you have thought about it. I would love to read a well written fic about those years, and I can't think of a better writer to do it (besides JRK herself, if only she wrote a damn prequel...).
Maybe someday. :)
Lol 'S-word'. Haha.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think it's a good idea to not tell people you are writing a sequel until you are actually writing it, in case you actually end up not going through with it. Case in point: Emmyjean said she was going to write a sequel to Crossroads, but she still hasn't, and some people- not me, mind you, but just, you know, other people - were (and are still) quite distraught that it never happened.
And I don't particularly care to bring this up, 'cos, well, I don't actually care, but didn't Twilight-author (can't be bothered to remember/search her name) say she would do a sequel and didn't? And people actually, like, threatened to commit suicide because of it or something?
Now, sorry to paint you and Emmyjean with the same brush as Twilight-woman, but, yes, I would be quite upset if you said you were going to do a sequel but didn't. I might even threaten to commit suicide. So, yeah, only say it if you really will do it.
^lol bringing up the controversial Midnight Sun subject
ReplyDelete@Jules Thinking it can't be anyone who went protest because they'd be found out but they COULD be doing a Snape by being double agents.. Or it could just be James's MUM. But I guess I'm just gonna have to wait and find out :)
Underbabe
^ I'm confused. What dangerous job? When was this mentioned?
ReplyDeleteIt's in chapter 18, where Lily is wondering how they got all the information on what Logan's done, and Lathe says that it's because of someone with "a very dangerous job" that they have all their information.
ReplyDeleteI think this has been mentioned before but where are you from Jules? Only i'm in Australia and want to work out the time differences to know when i should be prepared for chapters :P
ReplyDeleteWest Coast USA
ReplyDeleteWhy wont you updateeee?
ReplyDelete^So with you. I keep checking my inbox and this blog every so often. I just know the chapter is going to be posted right before I leave for work... *sigh*
ReplyDelete"Everyone loves Evans. It's that whole damn perpetual sunshine thing she has happening."
ReplyDeleteJust thought I would remind everyone of this line, because I love it so. (:
I just got a review on one of my ffnet stories where the girl said my characterization of Lily reminded her of Bella Swan. Excuse me while I go die of shame.
ReplyDeleteHaha, no, I think she MEANT it as a compliment, but....I mostly just stared at it in horror for a few minutes before praying that it wasn't true....
*pats Kelsey on back*
ReplyDeleteThere, there, dear.
@Kelsey: *wince* oh that's horrible. Although some woman consider her some like, personal hero.. I don't know how to possible make your day better.. um..

Aw, thanks guys! And Charlie--Darren ALWAYS makes my day better ;)
ReplyDelete@Kelsey Out of curiosity, which story is this? And who are you? FF you, not name and address you, I mean.
ReplyDelete@Kelsey- Aww, sorry :( And also, what kneelb4todd said, I'd love to read your stuff (and prove that reviewer WRONG).
ReplyDeleteI really hope you update tonight, so I can print it out tomorrow to go on the bus :-))
ReplyDeleteOff to go watch hockey, World Juniors Canada/USA. No offence to Americans, but man, you better effing lose ;-PP My dad and I are just a little too obsessed with hockey for you to win gold AGAIN.
*knocks on wood*
Happy Monday!
-Charlie
4 hours, 24 minutes till birthday..
^Happy almost birthday!!
ReplyDelete@Todd and Bree: WeasleyWannabee, and the story is "Resolution" (J/L OBVIOUSLY, though I've written other characters as well ;)) Oooh, now I'm nervous though! Well, hope it doesn't suck too much. I like writing it, and I suppose that's all that matters :)
Well, if it's any consolation, I just read the prologue, and even just through that, I can tell that your Lily is nothing like Bella :)
ReplyDeleteBella is whiny, too dependent on others, and not very realistically "in love".. And - so far, at least - that's not at all how you depicted Lily.
I rather liked the prologue. I'm gonna continue reading that, now. :D
Happy Almost Birthday, Charlie! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteKelsey, don't be nervous (although I should practice what I preach because I am the same way when I give out my ff name)! I found you and added you to my favorites. And also, I have added your link to my phone so I can read! :-) I'll let you know what I think via reviews :)
-
@Kelsey: I'm going to check it out too!
ReplyDeleteJULES YOU NEED TO UPDATE. kthxbai.:D

ReplyDeleteKelsey, this is going to sound crazy and creepy and stalkerish, but this story is in my bookmarks bar. I didn't realize it, but I just saw it there. I've been meaning to read your story for a while.
Weird.
^Whoa. That's crazy, haha! Awww, new readers! This makes me happy, b/c I already KNOW you guys are awesome ;)
ReplyDelete@Kelsey I'll be checking your story out in the next couple of days. Well, I do the review thing or else I get guilt pangs, so you'll know when I've read it.

@Todd, Kayla, Charlie and Bree--Aw, shuck guys! Thanks! And Kayla--just got your review. You have officially put my mind at ease bout the Bella fiasco...thanks! haha
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 6:34--Really??? Who are you?? These crazy connections are blowing my mind....;) Thanks internet :)
@Anonymous 8:05@Charlie--I was definitely waiting for him to mention Pigfarts too!
P.S. Lindsay, just read your tumblr post about How I Met Your Mother....this was my face after the end :0 For five minutes. At least. And then I was like WHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY???????? AND THEN, they came on with something about more comedy TV coming up, and I was like bitch that WASN'T comedy!!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay, sorry everyone else who had to read that...
Kelsey: I know exactly what you mean. BUT I was watching it with my little brother (17) and when Marshall's mom said the thing about "blow drying your hair" I started laughing so hard because my little brother spends a lot of time blow drying his hair. And his response "SHUT UP!!! WE REALLY DO HAVE A HAIR DRYER" I just kept laughing...
ReplyDeleteSo yeah I have not commented on this post yet... strange. I just felt like everything I wanted to say was repetitive so I didn't.... hmm. lets see. I guess all I have to say is I can't wait to read the chapter and I cried when bree posted on her tumblr that you (jules) went all sneaky ninja and went from saying before the 4th to around the 4th.... I know you are busy just know you have loving and slightly obsessive fans with way too much time on their hands waiting on the edge of their seats for the next chapter. No Pressure. :)
