Me:

Is it the flu when you are all achy and cannot move/breathe? If so, I have the fucking flu. In spades.
You all are wonderful and I'm sorry I'm taking so long and that I didn't update here for a couple days, but they were my last days in Florida (back in CA now) and I got sick on Wednesday and I fucking hate Delta airlines. Anyway, lounging in bed right now, trippin' on cold medicine and feeling exceptionally guilty for not having been a better updater.
I'll post more when I am no longer Lindsay Lohan.

Love,
Jules
P.S. Bree- love that James.
Some my!brain!Lilys (with lighter hair and darker eyes), although, I find Karen Gillan quite serviceable as well:

  1. LOL that picture!

Yay! You're okay! Well, almost. We were beginning to worry about you. Glad to have you back and I hope you get better soon.

IDK why I picture him particularly when I read, but it is. And that is a lovely Lily!

  2. Speaking of Lindsay, have you seen her eharmony commercial on funny or die? It's really funny but what strikes me the most is how old she looks, yeesh.

Feel better! Drink lots of emergen-C so you feel more like Mean Girls Lindsay and less like I Know Who Killed Me Lindsay.

  3. I never liked Lindsay Lohan. Everytime anyone says anything about her it's bad. And they only use her first name so I always hear about Lindsay going back to rehab or Lindsay screwed up again or Lindsay is back on crack. I DID NOTHING WRONG!!! She ruined my name and for that I really dislike her.

Take Justine's comment. Everytime I see my name I get a little confused.

Anyhoo glad to hear you are alive Jules :) Feel better and chillax we are all happy just to hear from you!
-Lindsay (not the crazy druggie celebrity)

  4. Hahaha, sorry Lindsay (not Lohan). I'm sorry that drunken hot mess has ruined everything for the other Lindsays of the world. I'm just lucky that Justine Bateman has had a very boring career since Family Ties ended.

  5. Feel better soon Jules! Stay in bed, drink lots of fluids! Oranges always help me feel better!

  6. Yay!! You're okay! Ish, at least. I'm sorry about your cold/flu/Lindsay Lohan complex. It's just good to hear from you!

I also like that Lily. Very close to the one in my head.

    Feel better!(:

  7. LOL Lindsay. The first sentence of Justine's post confused me for .4 seconds 'cos I was thinking she was referring to you! Haha, i've seen that FOD video--it's really funny, but also kind of depressing. "The Parent Trap" pretty much made my life in 1998 (99, 2000, 2001, 2002...) and I love "Mean Girls" too, but I completely sympathize with you for the negative connotation related to your name. Who knows, though--she might do a Drew Barrymore and turn it all around, which, for the sake of Hallie Parker and Annie James, I sincerely hope she does. Lol, and think how all the "Britneys" in the world must feel. Contrary to the Tara Gilesbie bible, they can't all be soul-less prepz, so all of the "Britney is a skank who is corrupting our daughters," "Britney is a druggie," "Britney got married," "Britney shaved her head," "Britney is a horrible mother," must have become tiresome. Side note: remember when Britney Spears was so scandalous? Most of "Baby One More Time" album seems so innocent compared to pop today =P

Oh, and I read the other thread too. When I last was here, there was something like 80 comments, and yesterday there were more than 180.... I was like, "Shit, they're gonna think i died in a plain crash." Like Justine said, lots of interesting stuff going on there. I was a little bit afraid ya'll were gonna come to fisticuffs at one point, so I'm glad you didn't =P.
thank you to everyone for the well-wishes, also.
I'll blog later this morning, once I've had a hot shower and some breakfast.

  8. Well thank god you're alive Jules! And I know how you feel, I've been battling a cold/flu for the past couple of day and it looks like the battle will continue to wage on during the weekend :( However I did just buy a humidifier which is helping me breathe immensely :)
Get better soon, eat lots of chicken noodle soup, and watch tons of Big Bang Theory (it makes me feel better)!

  9. We didn't fight because Lily/Kayla called for a new topic. And then I tried to distract everyone with a picture of that hot French guy I picture as James and Charlie asked everyone about wearing shoes inside the house. Good times.

Now I'm gonna go see if Netflix is streaming The Parent Trap.

  10. Jules, you have emerged from the ether! Or, you know, something. The flu sucks though, so my sympathies go out to you in your less-than-ideal-feeling-like-Lindsay-Lohan-in-that-totally-hilarious-picture state. Not that there is anything hilarious about having the flu, of course. Unless you have any cold-medicine-induced crazy dreams....wow, I am COMPLETELY rambling. Shutting up now.

Except for @Jenn--LOVE THE BIG BANG THEORY!!!!!!

  11. Jules I was about to go off about how I am much like Brittney S. Pierce in that I feel constantly overshadowed by a more famous person who shares my name. I just feel like she needs to go off the map completely for a few years and get her act together. BUT I do love the Parent Trap it was one of my favorite movies when I was younger.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Parent Trap was alright, I personally was in love with the Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen movies when I was a kid. Maybe it's cause they were real twins, I dunno.
@Kelsey - It's all I've been doing for the past couple of days while I've been sick! Makes me laugh so much!
@Lindsay - Yay for Glee reference! However this long hiatus is kinda making me fall out of love with the show, hmmm....
    -Jenn

  13. Jenn remember last year when we went from December to APRIL without an episode because American Idol was on? I'm just happy it's only a January hiatus

  14. Eeeeeeeeeeeep! Chapter 29!

  15. "I know I'm more talented than all of you. Britney Spears taught me that."
    I love Britney so much.

    ReplyDelete
  16. She is probably my favorite glee character. Sue is 2 just because sometimes she is just too mean for her to be my absolute favorite

    ReplyDelete
  17. I used to LOVE Rachel in season 1. But then in Season 2 she annoyed me sfm.

I love Brittany and Artie. I ship them so hard.

"Please can I have the magic comb?"

    ReplyDelete
  18. You loved Rachel in season 1? I HATED Rachel in Season 1. Because the writers kept trying to canonize her and I get annoyed when people try to force me to like a character... I immediately rebelled and liked Quinn instead. I do ship Rachel/Finn, but I am NOT looking forward to more will-they-or-won't-they, because I found that way tedious in season 1.

    ReplyDelete
  19. It's funny, because Rachel pretty much IS my sister circa 8th grade.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, I liked her because although she desperately wanted to be liked she wasn't willing to compromise the things that made her, her (i.e. Animal sweaters, bossiness, talent, ego, etc)-- she reminded me of Hermione a lot, actually. If anything, she wanted to be liked just the way she was. That completely changed in S2, probably earlier on (Run Joey Run fiasco). Also, she was just so motivated and sure of her goals. Despite her being annoying, I respected her a lot for that. And just like you, she reminded me a lot of myself in high school.

  21. OMG, I am watching this season's sectionals and Mr. Schue's face when the Warblers are performing KILLS me. What was Matthew Morrison going for? Concerned? Angry? Constipated?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Rachel is OK. Quinn was (and still is) a more interesting character. Finn is an idiot. I really don't like him that much... But I definatly ship Brittany/Artie. they are ADORABLE!!!! ummm lets see I really want to see Sunshine on the show again. And quite honestly I want the show to get split halvesies Warblers/New Directions.

Did anyone see the King's Speech because
    1. Dumbledore dies again
    2. Bellatrix is actually super sweet. (Helena Bonham Carter is an amazing actress)
    3. Everytime I saw Churchill all I could think was I HATE YOU SOOO FREAKING MUCH WORMTAIL....
    4. Colin Firth says something like I'm not a Warbler! (he didn't want to sing) And me and my friend just busted out laughing

All in all good movie if you're interested in that kinda thing
    -Lindsay

    ReplyDelete
  23. Oh and regarding Finchel, I ship them, yes. BUT I kinda also ship Puckleberry because I know Finn and Rachel are like Ross and Rachel and will end up together. And because Puckerman's a fox.

    ReplyDelete
  24. See, everything you said about her, I loved. That, with her Broadway obsession, made her my almost my older sister's clone. What I didn't love was when she was super manipulative and conniving and just straight out mean, but was still shaded in the light of a "good" character. I didn't have problems with Santana or Quinn or Terri (LOL I fucking love Crazy Terri) doing awful things, because I felt like the "Glee Universe" if you will, judged the actions appropriately.

    ReplyDelete
  25. @Lindsay--Agreed. Love Quinn.
@Bree--I like Finn/Rachel, but my issue with it is that I don't see it as existing post-high-school, so it always has this kind of depressing undertone.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, I completely agree. And I think the first episode of S2 is where she crossed the line and I lost a lot of respect for her.

I can tolerate Santana, and Terri but I dislike Quinn (but I love, love, LOVE Dianna). After she threw her Cheerio uniform back in Sue's face back in S1 with that line about preferring to be in a club where FELT like she belonged, she goes back? I love Glee, but sometimes continuity is nonexistent (Sam's dislocated shoulder, anyone?)

Speaking of Terry, wouldn't it be funny (in a cosmic sort of way) if this time she is really pregnant?

Lindsay, I want to see that film! But none of my friends are the type to sit through it. I was watching the Q&A they had with the cast last night, and although the moderator made things awkward, Helena, Collin, and Guy were hilarious.

  27. Weighing in on the Glee stuff: I LOVE Britney--all her one-liners make me laugh SOOO HARD!!! She has perfect delivery on those. PLUS she's a brilliant dancer. I'm also enjoying Britney/Artie.

After her, I think my fav is Puck (what can I say, I have a thing for the bad guys;)).

I'm sort of neutral about Rachel--I agree with what you said Bree about her being unwilling to compromise her "Rachel-ness," but now that that's changed, she's mostly just annoying. And I hate Finn. Sorry, I just do. I think he's an asshat. And not in a charming-James-Potter way, either.

Oh, and I love the half Warblers/New Directions idea, Lindsay.

    ReplyDelete
  28. My mom is so cute--she was visiting her siblings in the mid-west while I was in Florida, and they all went to see The King's Speech, and afterward, Mom texts me that it had every British actor imaginable in it and it reminded her of me because of all the Harry Potter actors in it.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I love the way you guys are doing a super in-depth analysis of the characters, when really they have absolutley no depth at all. Lol. I don't think Glee is meant to be taken that seriously. There have only been a few episodes which weren't stupid (e.g. Kurt's dad's herat attack). I mean, it's a brilliant show, but not ... deep.

    ReplyDelete
  30. @Lindsay: I SAW THE KING'S SPEECH AND BLOODY ADORED IT!! And yes, I noticed all that too. Although I thought whatshisrealname.. PETER was ahhhhmazing as Churchill.
Had the whole "I'm a drunken, rather hilarious brilliant man" thing down.

Oh, and thank you all for clearing up the whole shoes thing. It really has been one of my worldly concerns for awhile now.

    ReplyDelete
  31. To say that it doesn't TRY to be deep would be false IMO though.

Does anyone else want Kurt to stay at Dalton?

    ReplyDelete
  32. *Raises eyebrows* Every British actor imaginable?... Or rather every Harry Potter actor? 'Cos there's a difference.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I want Kurt to stay in Dalton!

Anonymous, it has both? All in all, it's a fucking great ensemble, wouldn't you agree?

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Anonymous, well, she meant the actors from all the random British things that we always watch in my family. Seeing Jennifer Ehle or Derek Jacobi or random people who were in Jeeves and Wooster would cause my mom to geek out more than anything else =P

    ReplyDelete
  35. See, I watch a lot of British movies and tv, and IMO, the HP movies have some big names, but very few good ones. Except for Maggie Smith, Helena Bonham Carter and Julie Walters (very briefly). The rest are absolute shit. There are so many more good English actors out there.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, Jason Isaacs, John Hurt, John Fucking Cleese...

    ReplyDelete
  37. ^ Alan Rickman? Kenneth Branagh??

    ReplyDelete
  38. Miranda Richardson, Timothy Spall, Gemma Jones, Shirley Henderson

    ReplyDelete
  39. Big names, but not good actors. Except for Kenneth Branagh. Forgot about him.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Lol... interesting debate. If I knew the name of every HP actor I might be able to contribute... but, alas, I'm awful with names.

Although the 'every Britsih actor imaginable' bit is a bit... hmm, offensive isn't the right word... patronising?

It's like me watching a show with half the Friends actors and then saying 'every american actor imaginable'.

    ReplyDelete
  41. And, before you say it, I am not Bristish but Swedish :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Idk--- I would say every american actor imaginable is in He's Just Not That Into You.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Bree, your tumblr post = me right now....(er, hope you get what I mean here)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hm... as a Britsih person - I don't agree with anon, BUT I do see what they are saying. The HP films are full of actors that are also bit internationally - not the best actors. It's common knowledge that the REALLY GOOD actors don't make the movies that are big international hits, but stick to TV. The HP movies are most definitely more interested in the big names, as opposed to the best actors. There are a few exceptions, but by and large, that is true.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Fuck I spelt British wrong. I am a retard. and bit when I meant big.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Aww, I'm sad reading these comments. :( I LOVEEE Rachel Berry. <3 I agree she was much better in season 1, but I still love her, and she's my favorite. Plus, Lea Michele is so talented, I also love her to pieces. Rachel and Sue make this show for me. Also love Kurt&Blaine. :] On the Finchel thing.. It's funny that Rachel has the fame, but Finn is actually the most selfish of all the members of the Glee club. And he still gets praised for being so "good". Meh. I'm close to hate him, and he's a terrible terrible boyfriend (not just to Rachel, he wasn't great with Quinn either). I think Jesse was much better, despite the egg incident.
And I can't stand Quinn, lol.

I hope you feel better, Jules! :)
