Did any of you see the lunar eclipse last night? I heard it was to gorgeous. Alas, I was in the library and was unable to see it. What did you guys think?

I saw it! It was pretty epic. The entire sky was cloudy except for the space around the moon. How do lunar eclipses effect werewolves? (I mean, in the whole mythos of the thing... obviously werewolves aren't real. AHEM).
ReplyDeleteHahaha I think we need to have major skype chat to get all of our feelings about it out about when Carlotta does actually come back. (We have a 2 chapter break). So the "Carlotta Problem" is more the Maurader's reactions to it at the moment because I don't think he'll tell Lily this chapter. Which is what we are all waiting for.

I didn't see it :( It was too cloudy and rainy here. I think a lunar eclipse has the same effect on werewolves as a full moon (if they were real, of course).
ReplyDeleteOh good, I'm glad I wasn't the only one to think of werewolves with regards to the eclipse thing. And I agree, Bree, I think it would have the same effect--after all, the moon is still 'there'. Or maybe they'd phase back for the hour or whatever that it's covered and then change again when it reappears ;) That would actually suck more.

Also, I've always wondered whether you could, as a werewolf, simply move halfway across the country every two weeks (ok, not that that would be COMPLETELY simple or convenient) and hence never actually have a full moon....these are the things I think about...

ReplyDeleteLindsay, now that you've brought it up I wonder how Lily is going to find out. I mean, is James going to tell her or is she going to find out elsewhere. If I had to guess, I think he's gonna tell her but casually in a conversation or something.
Without spoiling too much, the scene where Lily finds out has epic music playing in my head.

ReplyDeleteY'know, I should re-read the scene (lol, yes, it's been written for months), to be sure... I know ONE song, but it's WAY too lyrically spoiler-ific. Melodically, I'm feeling something by the Jezebels or Mumford & Sons. I love Mumford & Sons because they're always so epic, but not TOO epic (like Muse can tend to be =P).
ReplyDeleteI know there's probably something better that's slipping my mind, but I'm kind of loving "Easy to Love" by the Jezebels and "The Cave" by Mumford & Sons, as far as melody goes. And there are two songs that fit the chapter EXACTLY for lyrics, but I'll tell you those when I post the chapter. ;-)
And "Satellite of Love" by Lou Reed, but kind of ironically
