"...and he was usually so good at saying what was on his mind, but... but this was different.

Because to bring it up would be to imply that she was curious, and that was only another uncomfortable conversation that he didn’t want to have. Then, there were the other two options: first, that she wouldn’t care at all, and second, that she would be relieved . He wanted her to be relieved by the news (or, he wanted to want it, at any rate), but he didn’t think he could tolerate seeing her relief."

  1. FUCKING SUCCEED!

When James finally tells her (IF he tells her), I wonder if he'll be able to register how displeased Lily will be.

  2. I wrote that scene today! LOL! I'm not saying when it appears, but I definitely wrote the scene where Lily **ahem** responds to James about the news of his new relationship. Obviously, she is the height of etiquette and poise and does not at any point employ sarcasm.

And stop your bragging, girl. You don't got game; I'm just a spoiler slut =P

  3. Damn. I felt important for like two minutes.

So he DOES tell her? I was beginning to worry he wasn't and Lily was going to have to see it herself. Good man, James. And of course Lily is classy. She's not like me who would have probably replied, "Oh, I see how it is. Alright, bitch. That's cool."

  5. Jules are we still on for an update today? If yes, will it evening-ish when you update? Cos there's like a 10 hour difference between US and here, so if you post in the eveining, it will be tomorrow here. heh. I just ask so I know whether to stay up late to read, or to wake up tomorrow with an awesome new year's present :)

  14. ^ Seconded! I was naturally a bit disappointed to see that LaT wouldn't be updated today, but then I saw Commentarius and Every Other Midnight updated so I'm much more willing to wait :) I wouldn't have time to read all three anyway :)

will there be "heads' dorms" in your story? i'm curious about whether l/j will be cohabiting.

  18. Is it significant that Lathe has electric blue eyes? Like... anything to do with Moody??

  19. Hello, I just started your story. Literally. I'm on chapter one. I'm trying very hard to not look at that little snippet at the top; don't want to ruin anything for myself after all. But I've noticed a little mistake and didn't know if you'd realise if I left it in a review. Whatever.

The mistake: In ch 1, the story starts on the first day of sixth year, which should be Sept 1st 1976, but you've written 1975. If Lily and James are both born in 1960, and they are sixteen (going-on-seventeen) in their sixth year (which, I believe, is the equivalent to juniour year in the states?), then the year would be 1976, not 1975.

Um... I don't know if you've already had this pointed out to you, or if you've amended it in future chapters... but I just thought I'd bring it to your attention in case you didn't already now.

Other than that... um, don't really know what to say as I haven't really formed an opinion of this story. But so far, intereting start!

And bree is correct, but thanks for the heads up anyway, Lowri =)
