"...and he was usually so good at saying what was on his mind, but... but this was different.
Because to bring it up would be to imply that she was curious, and that was only another uncomfortable conversation that he didn’t want to have. Then, there were the other two options: first, that she wouldn’t care at all, and second, that she would be relieved . He wanted her to be relieved by the news (or, he wanted to want it, at any rate), but he didn’t think he could tolerate seeing her relief."
(New post, b/c its not the same without the italics)
FUCKING SUCCEED!
ReplyDeleteWhen James finally tells her (IF he tells her), I wonder if he'll be able to register how displeased Lily will be.
I wrote that scene today! LOL! I'm not saying when it appears, but I definitely wrote the scene where Lily **ahem** responds to James about the news of his new relationship. Obviously, she is the height of etiquette and poise and does not at any point employ sarcasm.
ReplyDeleteAnd stop your bragging, girl. You don't got game; I'm just a spoiler slut =P
Damn. I felt important for like two minutes.
ReplyDeleteSo he DOES tell her? I was beginning to worry he wasn't and Lily was going to have to see it herself. Good man, James. And of course Lily is classy. She's not like me who would have probably replied, "Oh, I see how it is. Alright, bitch. That's cool."
excellent.
ReplyDeleteevery time i see my inbox and it says that i have one unread message, i cross my fingers and hope that it's you updating. and when it is, my whole day just brightens a billion times more. i get so excited that i have to pee (my bladder is not weak, i swear).

Jules are we still on for an update today? If yes, will it evening-ish when you update? Cos there's like a 10 hour difference between US and here, so if you post in the eveining, it will be tomorrow here. heh. I just ask so I know whether to stay up late to read, or to wake up tomorrow with an awesome new year's present :)
ReplyDeleteToday is my favourite holiday, a spoiler was posted and possible update later tonight! Today is going to be a good day, I can tell :)
ReplyDelete-Jenn
HAPPY NEW YEAR, GUYS!! :D
ReplyDeleteFirst time using the potty too, eh? Good luck, my man!
ReplyDelete...
I had to. I was asleep and missed all the fun!
Yeah, I don't think I'm going to update today, sadly. Hopefully tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBlame bree.
**HIDES**
Lol, no its not bree's fault. I just didn't get all the writing done that I wanted.
^ It's okay Jules. I think most people are going out for New Years Eve anyways. An update tomorrow would be spectacular!
ReplyDeleteIt's aight. Commentarius got updated today so it would have been too much excitement for one day :p
ReplyDeleteI concur. Too much excitement AND SHIT I JUST REALIZED I HAVEN'T REVIEWED YOUR LATEST CHAPTER BECAUSE I HAD TO REREAD IT TWICE AND HOW THE HELL DID I FORGET THAT I'M GOING TO GO KICK MYSELF NOW.
ReplyDeleteevery other midnight also got updated today.
ReplyDeletethree in one day is more than i can handle.
can't wait for more james/lily/carlotta drama!
^ Seconded! I was naturally a bit disappointed to see that LaT wouldn't be updated today, but then I saw Commentarius and Every Other Midnight updated so I'm much more willing to wait :) I wouldn't have time to read all three anyway :)

o hey, jules, i've been meaning to ask you something. dunno if you already mentioned it.
ReplyDeletewill there be "heads' dorms" in your story? i'm curious about whether l/j will be cohabiting.
I think so since Frank had his own room..
ReplyDeleteJust stopping by to wish you all a happy new year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteIs it significant that Lathe has electric blue eyes? Like... anything to do with Moody??
ReplyDeleteHello, I just started your story. Literally. I'm on chapter one. I'm trying very hard to not look at that little snippet at the top; don't want to ruin anything for myself after all. But I've noticed a little mistake and didn't know if you'd realise if I left it in a review. Whatever.
ReplyDeleteThe mistake: In ch 1, the story starts on the first day of sixth year, which should be Sept 1st 1976, but you've written 1975. If Lily and James are both born in 1960, and they are sixteen (going-on-seventeen) in their sixth year (which, I believe, is the equivalent to juniour year in the states?), then the year would be 1976, not 1975.
Um... I don't know if you've already had this pointed out to you, or if you've amended it in future chapters... but I just thought I'd bring it to your attention in case you didn't already now.
Other than that... um, don't really know what to say as I haven't really formed an opinion of this story. But so far, intereting start!

I think Jules is aware of that and decided to leave it.
ReplyDeleteBree's comment is posted at 11:11, 1/1/11. JUST sayin.
ReplyDeleteAnd bree is correct, but thanks for the heads up anyway, Lowri =)
Whoa. That is amazing. Did you plan that, Bree? haha, probs not, but still...totally awesome ;)
ReplyDeleteOMG. Fucking boss.
ReplyDeleteKelsey, no I am not cool enough to plot something like that lol.
Actually, it's cooler that it just happened
