First of all, thank-you, Bree's tumblr, for showing me the new United States of Pop was out =). Pretty good, but I think 09 was a better mash-up, and I'm wondering in what universe "Bad Romance" is part of 2010...?
Second of all, the Master Plan of TLAT got a little revamp in the last few days. All that means is that I added a new chapter to the first half of seventh year, which I have not done since.... a while. At any rate, anything I've told you happens after Chapter 33 is now pushed down one chapter. Otherwise, this news is meaningless to you.
Third of all, I have a tentative title for Chapter 29. "Old, New, Ballroom, and Blue."
And, I was gonna do more non-spoilers, but those are hard. Excerpts are easy. For instance...
“You’re stronger than I am, aren’t you?”
James rolled his eyes. “Have you seen yourself, Twig?”
“None of that, now,” Lily replied coolly. “I dislocated Nick Mulciber’s jaw once, if you remember.”
“Don’t be cute,” retorted James. “What do you need?”

ReplyDeleteAs for the reason for the new chapter.... it's a good thing and a bad thing. The main reasons are: I wanted a specific character to get her own chapter dedicated to her, Florence and the Machine was inspiring the hell out of me, and I wanted to give a little more time to a particular plot thread (because **SPOILER** I just love keeping Lily, Carlotta, and Shelley on their toes).

More LaT=good :) also at same Anon Jules said Carlotta must be destroyed is chapter 31 so I think that means that means it stays 31. But It also means Carlotta is not destroyed in that chapter.... so thats a bummer. And I was kinda hoping it was a Shelley Chapter, but now I'm guessing Marlene(Adam/Prudence Bloody Daly/new lease on life plotline *SPEAKING OF MARLENE... I wonder what Miles' reaction to her hair cut will be), Mary(Reg plotline), or Donna(Lathe plotline).

ReplyDeleteYeah, Marlene found out about Carlotta. Mostly, everyone was just UGH with her... Marlene was more pissed at Miles (and rightly so) and Donna because Donna was trying to keep it a secret. It'll come up again.
Also--super perceptive Anonymous5:21. That's one of the main reasons I needed another chapter =)

ReplyDeleteAdam is gonna bond with everyone in year 7, lol. Actually, from an objective standpoint, I think Adam and Lily are going to have the hardest year. But it's not going to be oodles of giggles for Carlotta, Marlene, or Remus either. Or James. Eh, it's gonna be rough on everyone. But good, too =)

ReplyDeleteOkay, I do like the 2010 one, but the end irritates me, because it reminds me of the fact that Katy Perry wanted to give the West Coast an "Empire State of Mind" equivalent, and the best she could come up with was "California Gurls." I'm pretty sure California already HAD a "California Girls" and it was WAY better.
