3/7/11

All this Marauder talk, and the fact that I'm writing TLAT for the first time in days, has got me in a mood for an excerpt. Just a little one, though.
Sirius did not know where James had gotten to, for the Head Boy’s dormitory had been empty when he had gone up before making his way down to breakfast, but Remus and Peter were already in the Great Hall, and it occurred to Sirius that walking to the first meal of the day alone might now be a standard occurrence for him. The thought was not a happy one.
Also, you might like to know that I just finished writing a scene that has my shipper heart beating wildly.

    Poor Sirius. He'll find James... and hopefully rescue some puppies. But I can't wait for that scene you just wrote my shipper heart needs some LJ. Nighty Night!

    Hmm, but which shipper heart? L/J?! Marlene/ Adam?! Mary/Reg?! Any of them would make me happy.

    I'm glad you gave yourself a mini vacation from TLAT. Chapter 30 was 100 pages was unadulterated epicness (not a real word but I could care less).

    I think for the most part I can safely say that the days of one Lily/James scene per chapter are gone. They be all interacting up in this.

    Oh good, I've been needing my L/J TLAT fix....I have to be honest, I pretty much spent all of ch. 30 waiting to get to Lily's part for that reason. Not that I don't love all the other characters as well. It's just....it's Lily/James!Nuff said.

    LOL chubby, I've done all of the popular Harry Potter quizzes on sporcle. Damn, I love that site :)

    The one where it asks you to name ALL CHAPTER TITLES FROM ALL SEVEN BOOKS!!!... argh that killed me! And the DA members one I also found surprisingly difficult.

    Haha don't want to show off, chubby, but I just did the first lines one and I got 39! :D The only I didn't get was... um, y'know, Dudley's friend (forgot his name already!). I knew WHO it was, and I remembered the bit from the book, but alas, I just couldn't remember the name. Most of the others were just guesses though.

    The Death Eaters I got 26 too. And I'm not even going to try the 200 characters... just... no, too much.

    Jules, are you going to make Lily and James get together in the first months of 7th year? (I think that's according to canon) And when they do get together, is the story going to end, or there will be a few more chapters showing them as a couple?

    Omg I just did the capitals of europe quiz on sporcle... epic fail. I'm nowhere near as smart as I thought I was :( And I thought it would be easy! I didn't even know Luxembourg was the capital of Luxembourg! God, how embarrassing :/

    Lol 2:35 what did you get? After seeing your comment I did it and got 28... I'm not exactly proud of that, but I think I could have gotten at least 5 more if I could spell. Reykyavic and ljublana aren;t exaclty easy to spell... (I know I didn't even spell them right there!)

    Yeah, I couldn't get most of the eastern europe countries. And Kosovo? Moldovo? Never even heard of them before :/ I got a shockingly low score, which is just... embarassing as I'm european myself. *sigh*

    But 47/47? How on earth? Chubby, please tell me you've studied geography at uni or geopolitics or y'know, something!

    lol this is going to sound really really stupid, but i thought there were only 3 countries in north america: usa, canada and mexico, so when clicked on it i fully expected it to be super easy but got the shock of my life when it said 23!

    lol, engineering/math/econ student. i just like geography. i think i impressed an interviewer once by knowing that tallinn is the capital of estonia, but i didn't get the job, so it's kinda useless.
    sporcle, cracked, and the various college fml websites are my biggest time-wasters.

    @149, I don't think canon says WHEN in 7th year they get together. I'm not saying when it will happen, but there were certainly be more than a couple of chapters with them as a couple.
